These areas receive consistent solar exposure throughout the day and would require minimal grading for installation. 2. The gently sloping areas at the valley's western extent, approaching Cabo Rojo, offer good solar exposure with minimal risk of flooding and reasonable access to existing infrastructure. 3. The slightly elevated terraces along the northern edges of the valley provide good drainage and unobstructed southern exposure, which is optimal for solar collection in the Northern Hemisphere. Areas less suitable for solar development include the steeper slopes of the surrounding hills and mountains, where installation would be more challenging and costly. Additionally, the low-lying wetland areas near the coast would present environmental concerns and potential flooding risks. The region's general lack of tall vegetation across much of the valley floor is another advantage, as it reduces potential shading issues.
